initiative are tailored to the organization and the functional areas
within it. Central to the initiative are three elements: 1) the
identification and documentation of core expectations, frequently
referred to as “The Fundamentals” for each function area, 2) the
endorsement by management and engagement of first line supervision
in accepting management of personnel performance as one of their
primary roles, 3) creation of appropriate management mechanisms

action programs, observation programs, etc) within the organizations

reinforce expected performance.

Industrial Organizational Psychology
Westwind Group Expands their consulting offering into the realm
of so called "soft skills" with the addition of seasoned
professional, Cynthia DeVita. Having brought consulting and training
solutions to a broad array of clientele from Fortune 500
pharmaceutical and healthcare corporations to the U.S. Army Corps of
Engineers, Cynthia DeVita brings a fresh perspective to the nuclear
industry. As a PhD candidate in Industrial/Organizational
Psychology, she constantly reviews new research in order to bring
cutting edge information to meet the needs of the client. For
instance, in light of the impending mass retirement of the highly
skilled and experienced Baby Boomer workforce, there is a tremendous
need to transfer knowledge to the next generation: Generation X.
Cynthia and her team can offer consulting aimed at attracting and
retaining talented members of Generation X, Generation Y,
Millennials and beyond, to our clientele, along with designing
specialized training in generational issues, such as
multi-generational conflict management. Whether in organizational
development consulting, management training, executive coaching or
group facilitation, Cynthia's approach is energetic and time
conscious. Westwind Group is pleased to offer these specialized and
value added services to enable our clients to successfully navigate
the changing climate.
